Inviting Artwork-Spaces For Good

SHOWCASE YOUR THOUGHTS FOR THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE

It is our great pleasure to bring to you a unique opportunity to showcase young artistic talent from your prestigious Institution. Mostly for which, either you have to wait for going solo or may not have a theme to plug-in, especially if it is anywhere beyond the campus.

SPACES for GOOD” is a petite area created to explore the boundless imagination expressed through visual art.
With the credo of Small Spaces: Big Ideas
the entry pass for showcasing is only thought provoking ideas
to ignite the
change in the society.

The concept is yet another unique, first of its kind approach from “TRY for GOOD” (TFG), an initiative to build awareness on sustainability (wellness for people and planet). With rapid urbanization, growing population, changing landscapes, traffic, commotion, pollution and rising insensitivity; there is a lot of which we wish could change! TFG believes that if young minds/ artists (including amateur) are oriented towards a sustainable future, their thoughts and expression can contribute to founding better societies of tomorrow. For the same, we invite your college students from the Art/ Media/ Architecture or any other faculty to submit their thoughts in the form of VISUAL ART.

TOPICS AND ART FORM

An artist has to represent him/herself in the given current scenario and bring his ideas on the forefront that could be an inspiring change in the society.

  • My Theme Wedding (Ostentation, food wastage, consumption of resources, noise pollution, road congestion, parking issues, overspending to differentiate right from trousseau to the decorative theme. How is your theme wedding different setting a new trend with some “goodness” quotient?)
  • My Transportation (In the race of acquisitions, buying more, bigger and better car companies gain profits, finance companies gain margins and we add to load on the road, encroachments, narrowing lanes, fuel consumption, noise and air pollution; how do you make a difference with your choice of transportation)
  • My Consumption and Disposal (From conservative living in harmony with nature and saving for generations, we have moved into the ‘use and throw’ society. Nothing lasts except landfills. We have a thing for everything and we love fancy packaging. How do you differentiate from an average consumer? How do you consume and dispose?
  • The Old, Lonely and Disabled in my community ( In the vicious circle of studies, jobs, fitness, running errands, social obligations etc., there is barely any time left for us to even empathize with someone who is confined in his/her home being old/ lonely or disabled. Do you visit and make them smile?
