Choose Tetra Packs for Milk, Go Eco friendly

Gone are the days when milk was supplied by the milkman or packaging was done in glass bottles. But does this mean that we are left with milk in plastic bags only. You can choose tetra packs instead.

Tetra packs not only completely recyclable, but they also prevent entry of any germs while  preserving the nutritional value. The key element in Tetra Pack is paperboard which is a recyclable material made from wood. Then comes the layer of Polyethylene which provides security against outside moisture and ease to paperboard to bind with aluminium foil. Aluminium foil provides security against oxygen and light to preserve the nutritions, vitamins and flavour of the milk in the package in ambient temperatures.

Commonly available brands with these packaging are Amul, Nestle, Mother Dairy, Tru and Danone. These may be available in physical stores such as Big Bazar or Reliance or you can order online through places such as Bigbasket
